Longer, Fuller and More Volume

No Mascara Required!

What are eyelash extensions?

Eyelash extensions are an exciting new way to extend the length and thickness of your natural eyelashes. Eye Lush Misencil® Lash extensions are single strands of synthetic eyelashes that are curved to replicate a natural eyelash. The extension is applied to each individual natural eyelash one by one for a natural look. And the best part is – you can ditch the mascara and still have a voluminous, beautiful look. When performed by a Misencil® technician, this procedure is safe, painless and provides amazing results. All you have to do is come in and relax in a spa-like environment.

Will eyelash extensions damage my natural lashes?

Getting Eye Lush lash extensions by Misencil® pose no problem to your natural lashes with proper application. It is very important to choose a certified Misencil® trained stylist that understands the importance of correct application procedures. The stylist looks for individual, mature lashes that are able to support the weight (albeit ever so light!) of a Misencil® extension. The lashes are then applied one by one with a bonding agent that is light and flexible (on the lash, not on the skin.) When correctly applied, extensions will allow your natural lashes to grow and shed as they would in a normal lash cycle.

What should I expect during a visit to the studio/How are extensions applied?

Eye Lush and Misencil® insist on a single extension to each individual natural lash. This insures the application does not damage your natural lashes by weighing them down. After cleaning and priming your lashes, your bottom lashes are protected and your top eyelashes are isolated with an anti-aging eye pad and medical tape and then lash extensions are applied 1 on 1 with medical grade adhesive, specifically designed for Misencil® eyelash extensions. Lashes are applied while you are lying down with your eyes closed in a spa bed. The entire process is safe and painless. For the best results, Misencil® training is crucial. After a technician has completed a rigorous on-site training program, they become certified only after submitting additional photographs of their work for review. They also receive training in areas like sanitation and security, and put their knowledge into practice on live models.

Your natural lashes shed and fall out at different stages depending on their growth cycle. Touch-ups are recommended every 3-4 weeks to maintain a consistent look. Proper aftercare will help to extend the life of your extensions.

What do I need to do to care for my new eyelash extensions?

There is some light maintenance involved to keep your eyelashes looking as fabulous as the day they were applied, but it is very simple:

1. BRUSH your lashes! Eyelush will provide you with an eyelash brush to brush your lashes. Use it at least twice a day to keep them looking beautiful!
2. Avoid getting lashes wet at all for 2 – 4 hours after application
3. Use ONLY water-based cleansers near eyelashes (we will provide suggestions of what will work well, and what products ARE WATER-BASED…)
4. Avoid rubbing your lashes
5. Do not pull your lashes
6. Do not use eyelash curler (manual squeeze type)
7. Avoid using cotton balls or swabs (they may get “fluff” stuck in your new, beautiful, long eyelashes!)

I am getting extensions for my wedding/going on vacation...when is the best time to book an appointment?

We recommend booking a full-set 2 weeks before your wedding date or departure date at the latest. This gives you enough lead time to then to book a fill 1 or 2 days before the date. allowing you to have the biggest, best pair of lashes for the big day! Booking a month in advance plus 2 fills before the date would be ideal if possible.

Any limitations as far as my active lifestyle goes? Can I swim, shower, exercise, or visit a spa while wearing eyelash extensions?

You can get out there and go for it – looking even more fabulous! The medical grade adhesive specifically designed for Misencil® eyelash extensions is water resistant and allows you to shower, swim, exercise etc. Some special care is required but it is very simple and minimal.
